Definition

A Deed of Absolute Sale (DOAS) is the legal document that transfers full ownership of a property from the seller to the buyer. It's executed after full payment and is the basis for transferring the title at the Registry of Deeds. The DOAS must be notarized and filed with the BIR for tax payment.
